OLD CROWNS	NEW COSMETIC CROWNS

Often "crowning" or "capping" a tooth is the only option to restore a tooth.  There are many types of crowns.  Some crowns are much more esthetic than others.  Generally speaking, the newer cosmetic crowns are all ceramic (porcelain) or a special technique called Captek crowns.  If you have a crown or crowns that look grey or have dark margins, these crowns can be usually be replaced with new and considerably more esthetically looking crowns.
